Silver Lining

Where is that silver lining
I was so sure would be somewhere in this life?
It seems there is only whining
And everything is just filled with pain and strife.
Yet there is something that we
As true believers can always look forward to.
The Lord’s returning will be
The silver lining and our bodies renew.
We will no longer face any pain
But be gloriously alive in that coming time.
That will be when we actually gain
Freedom from hatred, sin and, yes, all crime.
Liberty to always do good and right
In everything we do no matter what happens.
The choice will be easy, no fight
Because there will be no character factions.
