It’s Coming…

questionmark

It won’t be long
Before it’s here.
The day is coming
And it’s near.

Are you ready?
Can’t you see?
It’s not just them
But you and me.

Believers now
Must ope their eyes,
A serious look
and now realize…

We see it some
Not quite so clear
But others saw
It coming here.

They warned us then
They cried aloud,
“Do you not see
That darkened cloud?

“It’s o’er the hill
A little ways
It won’t be long
Wake from this daze.

“It’s time to wake
It’s time to stand
It’s time to share
God’s Word so grand!”

We listened not
When then we heard.
We thought it was
To be ignored.

We laughed away
The point and said,
“Ha! We have time!
Not much to dread.

“We will do it.
It will be great.
You are too serious
Stop! Don’t debate!

“Give the people
What they want
A play, music…
Don’t be blunt.”

Time is wasting
Please don’t delay.
The sky, once bright,
Looks bleak and grey.

The time is close
And soon will be
A thing that’s past
For you and me.

You see, this thing
We caution you
Is our freedom
In sharing truth.

Once that’s gone
You’ll soon see
No time to share
But time to flee

Or take the stand,
Face the fallout,
And then realize
This is about…

Persecution.

1Pe 2:19 For this is thankworthy, if a man for conscience toward God endure grief, suffering wrongfully.
1Pe 2:20 For what glory is it, if, when ye be buffeted for your faults, ye shall take it patiently? but if, when ye do well, and suffer for it, ye take it patiently, this is acceptable with God.
1Pe 2:21 For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:
1Pe 2:22 Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth:
1Pe 2:23 Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously:
1Pe 2:24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.
